EDUC 5032 Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods

This course introduces interns to the characteristics and various approaches to designing and conducting research projects in educational settings using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Interns gain hands-on experience in various research methods and analysis techniques while conducting a research project within a professional setting.  The course will provide interns with quantitative and qualitative strategies and tools of analysis for enhancing their own professional learning, developing a reflective practitioner lens, engaging in the “educator as consumer of research” for the purpose of bridging the research to practice gap, and examining educational issues within their own professional contexts.
