EDUC 5031 Emerging Trends in Educational Technology for Curriculum and Instruction

This course explores the use of emerging technology in delivering classroom instruction and developing curriculum across content areas.  Emphasis is placed on the application of technology in reaching all learners, the increasing importance of technology in improving student achievement, instruction on developing meaningful content through the use of relevant instructional technology for online and face-to-face instruction, the use of technology to differentiate instruction, and providing meaningful instruction remotely.  Interns will actively build efficacy in the use of a wide range of technology-based tools in literacy instruction, and complete hands-on activities through the requirement of achieving both the Apple Educator Certificate and the Educator Level 1 Google Certificate to demonstrate their skills and abilities.   M.Ed. students will be required to have access to an Apple device. The Georgia K-12 English Language Arts (ELA) Standards will be utilized.
