The BA in Applied Art & Design is a flexible, professionally oriented curriculum for students who seek employment in an array of creative sectors including graphic design, painting, advertising, computer graphics, publishing, creative web design, and film. The program includes an embedded professional minor in areas such as business, information technology, and professional writing to prepare students for the working world. Concentrations in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Painting, and Film offer students the opportunity to specialize in high-demand areas of employment.

A minor or a Georgia Film Academy Certificate is required for the BA in Art. Minors should be selected with the approval of a faculty advisor.

Note: Students who transfer into the BA in Applied Art and Design from another program or institution and who have 15 hours or more credits in a single discipline may petition the department chair to waive the requirement for a minor or certificate.

Students must complete 39 semester hours of 3000- or 4000-level coursework to earn the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Art & Design. Students need to have 120 unique credit hours to graduate. Courses cannot be counted for credit in two places.
