ARTS 4045 Commercial Applications in Painting

This course will explore representational commercial painting. Students will paint animals, structures (architecture), objects, events, and film or theater backdrops. Students will study observational painting, preparation, lighting, color, and the painting processes of commercial painting, from preliminary sketches to finished product. As well as the history of commercial art, considering content, meaning, form, structure, and aesthetics.
