Academic Renewal

The US Department of Education does not recognize academic amnesty or academic renewal in relation to financial aid satisfactory academic progress. MGA is required to include all courses and grades in evaluating a student’s satisfactory academic progress. However, if there were documented mitigating circumstances please file a financial aid appeal for further consideration. Students may be awarded federal or state aid for the semester in which they are deemed eligible, the semester for which an SAP appeal has been approved, or for the next period of enrollment.
