This is an introduction to the natural history of the phylum Chordata with an emphasis on the vertebrate classes: their phylogeny, comparative structure and physiology, ecology, historical distribution patterns, and embryology necessary for understanding homology.

Prerequisites: A grade of a C or better in BIOL 2108K
