Program Admissions Requirements Doctorate in Public Safety

In addition to meeting the General Admissions Requirements for Graduate Study the applicant must have or provide:

  1. Letter of application* that addresses why you are interested in the Doctorate in Public Safety; how this degree program will help you advance your career; related experience in public safety; and your interest in leadership. 
  2. Current résumé/CV, including relevant work experience in public safety agencies.
  3. Master’s degree in a related field with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. (Preference for admission will be given to those with experience in a public safety setting.)
  4. Two recommendations from individuals familiar with the applicant’s professional qualifications and academic aptitude and abilities.
  5. Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
  6. English proficiency for all international students.

*Letter of application should not exceed two pages.
