NURS 5600 Quality/Safety/Improvement Processes

Prerequisite: Admission to MSN Program or Permission from MSN Graduate Program Coordinator

This course is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills in managing the care of patients with particular attention to delivery of care and patient outcomes. The course will incorporate theory, evidence based practice and strategic management to meet the demands of the evolving healthcare system. Students will use quality improvement concepts to develop and implement processes that will maximize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Considering the dynamics of the healthcare environment, this course focuses on effective and efficient management strategies from various sectors to ensure delivery of safe quality care.
