The Georgia Academy
The Georgia Academy at Middle Georgia State University offers dual enrollment opportunities for high school students on all its campuses. Dual enrolled students can enroll in college-level coursework to meet their high school requirements as well as earn college credit. Students can follow any one of three options:
1) Enroll as a regular dual enrollment student in collegiate courses either full time or part-time.
2) Enroll in the Honors Pathway to receive the Honors Pathway Certificate: Georgia Academy students who successfully complete four honors courses including one in English and the other three in two or more subject areas and fulfill an outside enrichment requirement are awarded the Honors Pathway Certificate, a distinction noted on their transcript.
3) Enroll in courses to earn a certificate or an associate degree in a major of their choosing alongside meeting the requirements for the high school diploma.
Additional opportunities to engage in research, community service, internships, campus clubs and organizations will be available for all interested students.
