ITEC 5140 Research Methods in Information Technology

Prerequisite: Admission to the MSIT program

This course will introduce basic ideas about conducting research in the field of information technology. Students will learn methods for reading empirical research articles, selecting research topics, research strategy and tactics, statistical methods, devising research questions, planning research, analyzing experimental results, modeling and simulating computational phenomena, and synthesizing broader theories.
