EDUC 5007 Classroom Management

This course is designed to teach graduate interns the skills and aptitudes needed to manage a safe, respectful, equitable, engaging classroom environment.   In this course, interns investigate a wide range of models of classroom management and conduct their own primary research into methods in practice at partnering schools.  Interns will create an action plan of practical strategies to implement in middle and secondary classrooms based on techniques used to enhance student engagement, and to decrease undesired behaviors in the classroom.

Pre-requisite: Admission into the M.A.T. Program and issued a valid Preservice Certificate.
