MATH 1111 College Algebra

This course, designed for students who plan to take MATH 1112, MATH 1113, or MATH 2120, is a functional approach to algebra that incorporates the use of appropriate technology. Emphasis will be placed on the study of functions, and their graphs, inequalities, and linear, quadratic, piece-wise defined, rational, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Appropriate applications will be included.

Prerequisite

At least a C in MATH 1001 or MATH 1101; or a math SAT score of at least 550 (exam date before March 2016), of a SAT Math Section Score 570 (exam date after March 2016), or a math ACT score of at least 24; or a score of 12 or higher on the Mathematics Placement Exam.
