RHAB 4210 Culture and Disability
This course is designed to introduce the concepts of cultural competence in health care delivery systems. Topics include cultural changes and forces existing in the United States today and how culture and disability interact. Cultural aspects of disability and developing cultural competence with multiple populations is the main focus of the course. However, lifestyle choices, socio-political factors and perceptions of wellness will also be covered.
