The School of Education is accredited through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) (200 Piedmont Avenue, SW, Suite 1702, West Tower, Atlanta, GA 30334-9032 [404] 232-2500) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) (1140 19th Street, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20036 [202] 223-0077). Providers accredited under NCATE standards, as well as those accredited under the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) standards, are now served by the single specialized accreditation system for educator preparation in the United States, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
