CSCI 4760 Capstone Project

This course provides senior Computer Science students with a culminating design and development experience that integrates knowledge acquired throughout the curriculum. Students work individually or in teams to design, implement, test, and deploy a substantial computing solution that addresses a real-world problem. Projects may be industry-sponsored, research-based, entrepreneurial, or community-driven.


Students apply principles of software engineering, systems design, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and data management where appropriate. Emphasis is placed on project planning, ethical responsibility, teamwork, documentation, communication, and professional practice. The course concludes with a formal presentation, demonstration, and technical report.
