Modern Languages (A.A.)
MGA’s language curriculum places a strong emphasis on both cultural understanding and the development of written and oral communication skills. Studying another language not only sharpens critical thinking but also fosters cultural competency and broadens students’ worldviews. No matter your career goals – whether in healthcare, business, education, law, media, politics, or economics – proficiency in another language and familiarity with a different culture will give you a distinct advantage in today’s global job market. Students are also encouraged to enrich their academic experience through participation in a Study Abroad program.
MGA offers an Associate's degree in Modern Languages (French or Spanish track), a Minor in Spanish, and a Certificate in Spanish. In addition, an IDS students can choose to complete a concentration in Spanish, or to complete a and Liberal Arts concentration (with options to take French and Spanish classes).
