MUSC 1006 Perspectives on Music and Society

This is an Institutional Priority course that develops key competencies in critical thinking and oral communication through an introduction to music and society. This course includes additional online modules to support Institutional Priority Learning Outcomes and Career Competencies. This course will explore the connections between music and the various facets of human experience. Using content from multiple genres, social groups, and historical eras, the course will focus on the ways music shapes, interprets, and represents cultural changes.
