EDUC 4140 Practicum

This semester-long, field-based course provides teacher candidates with initial hands-on experience in secondary (6-12) classrooms. Candidates will observe, assist, and begin applying pedagogical and content knowledge through research-based best practices in lesson planning, instructional strategies, and classroom management. They will analyze student needs, adapt instruction, and integrate technology while aligning with district and state standards. Seminars on relevant topics support their development. This course aligns with state and national standards and requires technology use.
