In early 2024, the Peach Belt Conference extended an invitation to Middle Georgia State to join the league pending approval of the University’s acceptance into the NCAA Division II provisional process. MGA’s goal is to achieve NCAA Division II status by August 2025. The potential move is a significant part of MGA’s strategy to build the University’s athletics culture and identity and to champion student-athlete success.
