SPED 4110 Special Topics in Special Education
In this course, teacher candidates will learn to address the individual needs of P-5 students with exceptionalities. Topics include Pre-Referral intervention and Tiers of Support, Eligibility and IEP processes, interpretation of assessment results, the continuum of placements and services, professional and ethical practices, instructional planning, and parent-professional collaboration. The use of technology is required. This course is aligned with state and national standards.
