SCIE 3000 Teaching Science in P-5
In this course, the teacher candidates will learn and apply pedagogical knowledge grounded in inquiry-based and STEM principles for designing, implementing, and advancing scientific literacy for elementary school students. Teacher candidates will engage in hands on activities and create lesson plans and instructional materials based on scientific concepts underlying physical, life, and earth/space science in order to meet the diverse needs of all P-5 learners. Use of technology is required. This course is aligned with state and national standards.
