PSYC 3401 Biopsychology

The relationship between the brain and the behaviors it supports in humans and animals will be explored. The anatomy, physiology, and chemistry of the nervous system are reviewed, and the scientific analysis of the relations of these biological processes to psychological phenomena is presented. Topics will include pyschopharmacology, sensory systems, movement, sleep, reproduction ingestion, communication learning and neurological disorders. Most presentations will follow a structure-function approach.
