NMAC 4482 Film Theory

This is an upper division course that surveys major theoretical and critical approaches to film. Topics will include how cinema functions as a medium, as an art form, as an institution, and as a signifying system. Prerequisite: At least a C in ENGL 1102 or ENGL 1102H or permission of the instructor.
