ENGL 4420 Modern European Literature in Translation

This is a study of canonical works in post-Renaissance European Literature in translation (exclusive of works written originally in English). The course examines writers of such stature as Goethe, Flaubert, Kafka, Dostoyevsky, Ibsen, Lorca, and Proust.
