MGMT 3408 Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship/Small Business
This course studies the management of small businesses. Beginning with traits commonly found in successful entrepreneurs, students cover the various topics necessary to develop and run a profitable business. The topics include business entity forms, marketing for small/fledgling businesses, advertising, elements of business plans, risk management, financing, and staffing decisions. A study of the business formation process focusing on the behaviors of entrepreneurs and the creation of new businesses in dynamic environments is also covered.
