HIST 3230 History of the Middle East

This course examines the history of the Middle East from the Sumerians to the present. Coverage includes the rise and definition of three major religions--Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as the conflicts among these religious traditions and how those conflicts have played out in rival political, social, and economic institutions.
