Program Admissions Requirements Masters of Science in Information Technology (MSIT)

1. A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university

2. A minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA in the student’s undergraduate major

OR

3. 2.5 GPA with significant work experience (as judged by the School of Information Technology) in information technology as documented by a résumé and other appropriate documents



Additional Required Materials (MSIT)

  1. Statement of applicant goals for graduate study.
  2. Two letters of recommendation from either academic or professional sources.
  3. Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions.
  4. A current résumé.

Priority Acceptance to the Program (MSIT)

Applicant satisfying all required criteria with at least three or more years of experience in an IT environment will be given priority admission.

Acceptance with Academic Requirements (MSIT)

Acceptance with Academic Requirements may be awarded to students who have not satisfied all of the criteria, but who have given evidence that they may succeed in the degree program. A “B” grade or better in the first three courses is required before a student can be converted to Full Acceptance Status. [See provisional admission status]
