ENGL 2111H Honors World Literature I

This is a study of world literature from ancient times through the mid-seventeeth century. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding the historical and cultural context behind the texts examined. Required is a substantial end-of-semester research project on an appropriate topic. This course is for the superior student, and admission is by invitation of the Honors Program.
